Global Prayer and Support

At Wanganui Central Baptist our Baptist Mission Fellowship (BMF) group combined with an existing mission prayer group which supported people from the church serving with other mission agencies. The new group is called Global Prayer and Support (GPS). GPS meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month after the 10am service. The meetings provide updates and support the mission work in prayer, both privately and in groups.

The group seeks to inform and encourage the wider church fellowship on mission matters through:

Mission slots in services
Global mission information displays
Encouraging attendance to hear mission speakers
Promoting prayer and self denial

As well as encouraging personal giving in support of global mission, GPS initiate fundraisers such as sausage sizzles and stamp collecting.
